Biography
I began playing drums at a very early age. I began to play professionally at the age of 7 years old with the band 5th Wheel that comprised of my father, mother and step-father. We played Country and old Rock and Roll performing at venues all over the Southeast and teaming up with the Atlanta based radio station Y106.7fm performing at their rolling radio shows and working with them to raise money with the Children’s Miracle Network. The band still performs to this day and has opened for such acts as The Charlie Daniels Band, Kathy Mattea and John Anderson.
While in High-School I was the drumline captain for the Monroe Area “Hurricanes” for both the 1998 and 1999 football seasons. I graduated high school with a fine arts seal and attended the Atlanta Institute of Music. There I began to get my teaching certificate when I got offered to go on tour with the band Grayson Manor. The group received radio play in over 35 states while performing with such acts as Winger, Docken, Buckcherry and many other acts. We toured all over the nation and was even featured on Budweiser’s “True Music” television series. Living in L.A. and New York for a period of time while recording with the band I made my move to Nashville, TN to pursue a career in country music
I left Grayson Manor and started the Lee Tylor Band. The band was growing in popularity releasing our very first CD titled “For You” which got some attention and airplay in the Southeast. The band also shared the stage with such acts as The Zac Brown Band and playing at The Georgia Theatre and many clubs in the Atlanta and Nashville area.
While in Atlanta I teamed up with recording artist Ashley Rivera. After releasing our first EP the act was GCGMA’s Vocalist of the Year, CD of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. We played at Venues as large as Turner Field, Wild Bill’s and recorded a segment on Comcast through “Bands on Demand” at the world renown Tree Sound Recording Studio.
I am now based out of Grayson, GA and married to my third grade sweetheart. I began my very own studio to teach drum lessons and work with artist here in the Atlanta area. I am currently drumming with the Nathan Morgan Trio, the Elizabeth Reed Ensemble, Luke Carter, Emily McCannon, Ashley Rivera, Scott Moody and the Attitude Adjusters and a service musician at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Snellville.
